Components

Ruby developers can install the latest version of Rhodes by entering into a terminal:

gem install rhodes

For developers new to Ruby, we encourage you to check out our wiki article Building Rhodes Apps on Supported Platforms which is designed to help you get started. We love the inspirational community of Ruby developers–follow the links at Ruby-lang.org to learn more. If you’d like to look under the hood of Rhodes, our primary revision control source repository is maintained realtime on Github.

Once you have installed Rhodes, installing RhoSync is easy too. Just type the following commands into a terminal.

git clone git://github.com/rhomobile/rhosync.git rhosync


cd rhosync


git checkout -b 1.1

You can also download RhoSync from github here. Be sure to use the latest release. If you need more support, check out the article on our Wiki, Installing RhoSync on Mac OS X. We’re working on an installer for Windows users which will be available in the next few days.

Sample Apps

We love the many Rhodes applications built by developers in the different app stores. We encourage developers to GPL applications made with Rhodes, but to help the community we also provide some sample applications that can be downloaded. See our GitHub repository for all of the sample apps. We also have a couple builds for the RhoCRM SugarCRM sample app below.
